Course Description:
This course presents the most advanced techniques of Thai Massage, catering to both regular massage enthusiasts and those who engage in regular yoga practice. Its goal is to significantly enhance the range of motion in joints according to physiological norms, allowing participants to enjoy the full health and potential of their bodies. Additionally, for yoga practitioners, the course serves as a diversification of their regular yoga practice and fosters a sense of connection among participants as techniques are performed in pairs. The presented techniques should be tailored to individual needs, seamlessly integrated into massage or yoga sessions, or even constitute a separate session. They are rooted in a blend of yogic asanas, massage techniques from the Wat Pho school, and other Thai massage traditions.
Course Topics:
- Preparation for performing advanced stretching techniques.
- Indications and contraindications.
- Advanced stretching techniques in various positions (on the back, on the side, on the stomach, sitting).
- Correct body positioning.
- Skillful and safe use of the therapist’s body weight during the session.
The course places special emphasis on practical application and the safe execution of techniques. Participants will receive a training completion certificate in English.
Course Duration:
1 day – 8 hours plus breaks (1 hour).
The course concludes with a practical examination.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed Module I of Traditional Thai Massage.
- And/or regular yoga practice!
- Eagerness to learn new therapeutic and yogic techniques.
- Open-mindedness to new experiences and sensations.
- Loose, non-restrictive clothing
- A positive mindset!
REMARKS:
- The course is based on knowledge passed down by the oldest and main Thai Massage school and Traditional Thai Medicine in Thailand, the Wat Pho school in Bangkok, massage techniques practiced in Northern Thailand and yogic asanas.
- As part of the course, participants will receive: a workbook and a certificate.
- To receive the certificate of course completion, successful completion of the practical exam is required.
