Course Description:

This course is intended for those who wish to expand their skills in performing Thai Massage. It utilizes advanced stretching techniques derived from yoga and Traditional Thai Medicine. It is based on the massage taught at Wat Pho and the Thai Massage practiced in Northern Thailand, which is gentler in terms of acupressure and focuses more on stretching.

 

For Whom:

For individuals with foundational skills in Thai Massage, perform it regularly, and would like to expand their skills and learn new techniques. Also, for those who would like to prepare for performing Thai Massage as a therapeutic massage for specific conditions.

 

Course Topics:

  • Thai Massage in four positions: supine, side-lying, prone, and seated.
  • Correct positioning of the therapist’s body.
  • Skillful use of the therapist’s body weight during the treatment.
  • Advanced techniques for stretching limbs and back.
  • New pressure techniques.

The course places particular emphasis on massage practice, which constitutes 100% of the course time. Participants will receive a certificate of completion in English.

Course Duration:

Three days, with eight hours dedicated to each day, including one-hour breaks.

The course will conclude with a practical examination on the final day.

 

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed Module I of Traditional Thai Massage.
  • Eagerness to learn new massage techniques.
  • Open-mindedness to new experiences and sensations.
  • Since the massage is performed on the floor, loose, non-restrictive clothing is required.
  • A positive mindset!

 

REMARKS:

  • The course is based on knowledge passed down by the oldest and main school of Thai Massage and Traditional Thai Medicine in Thailand, the Wat Pho school in Bangkok, as well as massage techniques practiced in Northern Thailand.
  • As part of the course, participants will receive: a workbook and a certificate.
  • To receive the certificate of course completion, successful completion of the practical exam is required.
